You will stay in one of three one bedroom apartments which we are converting  in the grounds of our home and where we are planning a swimming pool and tennis court. 

Le Manoir is situated in a village south of Saumur, the jewel of the Loire. We are close to many of the different wine AOC areas including Saumur, Anjou, Bourgueil, Chinon and Touraine. The wines from the region are varied, very palatable and relatively undiscovered and so are extremely good value for money. 

Following your arrival on the Saturday, we will host a wine tasting and  Sunday lunch Chez Nous as a precursor to selecting your chosen itinerary for the week’s stay. You will be provided with suggested daily tours of the vineyards and renowned cellars where you will be able to “ Degustation le vin, s’il vous plait!” and purchase your favoured selection.

 Why not combine your holiday with some sight seeing. The area is steeped in heritage with the Loire river valley being recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. There are many Chateaux, churches and Troglodyte caves. Saumur is the Equestrian centre of France with the French cavalry and museum of tanks amongst the local attractions. The  region is perfect for walking and cycling and has something for everyone.

At the end of your holiday you will join mein hosts for a final wine tasting and le diner with your fellow guests when you can compare notes and say Au Revoir.
