....is a £2.2 million purpose-built music and arts venue in Dartford, North Kent. It is a live performance facility that aims to present a high quality range of events and opportunities in the performance, production and participation of music and the arts for the benefit of the communities of Dartford, the North Kent Region and the world beyond.

The facility houses two fully equipped flexible performance spaces with 355 seats (600 standing) and 160 seats (250 standing), and comprehensive technical and artist facilities. Audience facilities include comfortable raked seating, fully disabled access, large comfortable bar and café facilities with a state of the art video wall. The facility also houses a professional recording studio, rehearsal studios, workshops and exhibition spaces.

The Programme?

The venue's programme consists of a dynamic mix of live events, training and participation. A professional programme runs side by side with multi-track recording courses, local rock band festivals alongside contemporary visual art exhibitions, classical performances against DJ mixing workshops and comedy club alongside physical theatre and dance. It is a dynamic, exciting and inclusive mix of music and arts culture.

The Mission?

To invigorate, energise and develop interest & participation in Music and the Arts in the area. To provide a platform for audiences and musicians to access the finest artists, resources and opportunities.

The Mick Jagger?

A son of Dartford, a pupil of the town's Grammar School and one of the most famous and influential musicians the world over. Who better? Mick himself has graciously backed the project from the beginning, recognising the needs of music audiences and developing musicians in the area. Mick began singing in his own garden shed in Dartford before going on to form the Rolling Stones and as they say 'the rest is history'.

Why?

themickjaggercentre was created to fulfil a long recognised need, that is to provide access to facilities and opportunities in Music for everyone in the North Kent area. The southern end of the South East region boasts some of the best and most high profile musicians and venues in the whole country, yet North Kent and Dartford have for too long remained a cultural backwater for musicians and audiences who often migrate to Central London and Brighton. themickjaggercentre is set to change all that.
